| Subject: Are visas guarranteed after a Clean Medical? |

Dear members,
I would be very grateful,to give all your oppinions on this issue>
after more than 3 years(FEDERAL,LONDON office),my brother and his wife,they have just submit thier Medical by end of December 2008.which (the medical) all results are good).
After two months of that their lawyer just REQUESTED from them to made the MONEY DRAFT for the right of landing fees>
and they have sent it on half of March...to the lawyer in canada.
I have 3 questions:
1- Is it right to pay the right of landing fees,TWO MONTHS,after the medical, or it´s a mistake from the lawyer who forgot to inform them to pay early for the fees?....mainly i read that somecases just receive PPR after 45 days to 60 days...after the medical was sent.
2- How long will probably takes before requesting the PPR?
3- Is it Sure that VISA will be issued at this period,means after Medical, or still the application is under paper and background checks...and as long there is NO PPR There will be NO VISAS guarranteed.????

For office at Buffalo, NY, my landinf fees were requested at the time of medicals request. I am not aware about about London office.
Once ur medicals are cleared, the office takes sometimes to finalize ur app. I am not sure if security clearance is initiated at the time ur medicals requested or thereafter. Regardless, both the medicals and background clearance should be completed before ur file is done. If both are cleared, I can say that the visa is guaranteed. At Buffalo office, it takes an average of 2-3 months after doing the medicals and before receiving the passport letter.

Raykom, after medicals your brother´s file still has to undergo background checks... I tell you so because of my own experience... I had my medicals done in Dec 2007... they expired in 2008... it is now May 2009 and I am still waiting for my passport request ... so the answer to your question is NO... but...
My case seems to be ?uncommon? and for the most part... I have read that people usually get very excited and even celebrate when they get their medical request because it is assumed that soon after your ?clean? medical results arrived at CIC you will get your passport request and eventually your shiny golden visa!

I forgot to mention... it is normal to pay for the RPRF at the time of medicals... CIC asked me for it along with my medical exams request... so, your lawyer probably got a similar letter that mine... requesting medicals and RPRF at the same time... don´t worry this is normal... and remember, if your brother is denied for what ever reason, he will get this money back.

As advice why don´t write to them Just to clarify what happend?it´s sure something wrong...
based on what I read some cases in gulf region also get the PPR only in 40 days after the medical....!!!

Thanks for your good wishes Raykom, I hope they are granted :O)!
I have contacted CIC but they only say that they are still working on my background checks and that they are sorry but they have no idea when they will be able to give me an answer... so, I just posted a new thread asking people for their opinions in my case. I am planing to request new CAIPS notes soon to see if there is something there that could give me some clues.
Don´t worry about your brother´s case... I am sure it will be fine and that he will soon get his visa... like I said before... I know my case is not like others... it´s just the sort of thing that seems to always happen to me! :O)

hi,this is khan,i applied for skill workers.after waiting 3 yeas,i got my and my family,medical exam,after done of my medical exam ,send it to cic,i was sensed my medical report in September,2013,then i received request the job latter/duty and responsibility detail by cis,i send the latter october 2013,as well as i already send police and fbi clearance certificate,and landing fee,of all my family member and me,my question is when we get the visa,any body reply me,please,thanks

In my case i m still waiting for PPR. form AbuDhabi Visa office
I did my Medical in 24 Oct.,2016 and will expired after few weeks ( 20 oct 2017 )
