I was waiting to get good result at this time but unfortunately Today i received my IELTS result (Appeared in Mar) and i got only 8 point

Hi ML, well, I am not sure what you need to do to take what you said to CIC back... you probably have to write to them and explain EXACTLY what happened and ask them for more time to take another test and hope that you get the score you need the third time around.

My sister-in-law´s application was rejected because she was 1 point short after taking the IELTS exam... she thought she would be okay, she wanted to make the deadline and sent the result but she was wrong and the application got rejected... closed, good bye... so if you don´t want that to happen to you... study harder, take the exam again... you need to have the points you need ... it is only in very rare cases that people are granted the extra points they need even when they are short... you must have a very very special skill or a massive amount of good luck...

Take care.

Someone had mentionned here being accepted even though he did not meet the 67 pts mark. That´s not unheard of, but you really need to have some "SPECIAL" skills. Search the forum and try to get in touch with him/her. Your circumstances are probably different. If he´s still around and willing to explain you maybe you can get some information.

I am still waiting for that person who can reply me

Please advice ROY / Sharon

what step should I have to take, as I already e-mailed CHC a couple of days before that my IELTS result is on the way(even I mention the date of New IELTS)

some question, hope my Senior Members will help me out

1) If I submit my OLD IELTS (Appeared in 15 Jan 2009) even though I will be short by one point ( and I had attached new ielts confirmation letter when I sent my update doc) will they consider

2) should I wait for them to send me one more update letter still e-client status is "In Process"

3) Can I ask them again for extension for IELTS

Please Advice me

1. You can send any of the two scores available provided it is valid.

2. e-client will not be updated till they are about to issue passport request.

3. You can try but will have to come up with good reasons.

You clearly made a mistakes with your timing and/or assessment of language proficiency.

Why did you inform them the IELTS is on its way?you just make sure you have it before your deadline and send it to them.

If you wait for another reminder you might get a notice the file was declared abandoned and deactivated.Or not get any reminder at it will be closed.

Do not count on "Substitute Evaluation" to overcome falling short of the pass mark.It is not rocket science. If you have compelling reasons to show why you are likely to enjoy successful economic establishment in Canada, and you present your case the right way,you may have a small chance. If 7 years ago you completed 4 years of temporary residence in Canada, it can count for something. But if the points you are missing are on the language factor, i doubt it you can make it.

Write a letter asking for an extension to your deadline. You don´t have to say " I got only 5.5 for reading on the IELTS and I need to retake it".Just ask for the extension to submit the complete document package.Maybe the visa officer will be kind to you.

Good luck,
