Far too many have their partners application delayed due to others trying to cheat the system.
Then there are those who rush through the forms and do not submit enough supporting documents to prove the genuineness of their relationship.
A Spousal Sponsorship allows a foreigner to reside in Canada legally and requires you to sign an undertaking of assistance.
Never think we are in love so the application is simple!
Formulate your own opinion of your situation based on common sense! Ask friends and family to be candid regarding your situation. Clearly confront any differences in age, religion, language difference, ethnic origin etc.
Now should you retain someone to assist you with your application????
That is a personal decision based on your personal circumstances.
If you decide to hire someone to assist you with your application do the following.
Get References!
Have them explain their experience in a similar situation.
Let them explain how they would increase your chances of success based on your personal situation.
Write down all your questions prior to attending any consultation.
Get a clear understanding of whom will actually be assisting you and your partner with the application.
Find out what their experience is and how long they have been in the Immigration business.

HUGE Law Firms could assign the Spousal Application to one of their junior Clerks to complete and not supervise the person what so ever.
Most Immigration Consultants are struggling to stay afloat because they can´t charge the same as the Lawyer in the fancy office. Expect them to do a better job of your application. They need the referrals more.
Regardless of whom ever you use including yourself never rush to submit anything without first going over every single answer on every single form at least three times.

Even if you fly half way around the world and get married six days after you arrive in your partners country be sure to explain why.
