You may be eligible to sponsor if...

...You have an income that is at least equal to the minimum necessary income, the amount of which is published yearly by the Canadian government. You will have to provide us with documents that show your financial resources for the past 12 months and prove you are
financially able to sponsor members of the family class. You may solicit the help of a cosigner.

Good luck

Funds (in reply to: How much Fund Required to Sponsor my Mom)
Bear in mind, LICO is not lock-in. Family Class (parents and grandparents) may take a long time and the LICO may be whatever amount on the chart today but will change every year. CIC does request for updated tax assessments. There were cases where sponsors / applicants were refused because sponsors no longer meet LICO based on updated financial info (for example, sponsor was layoff and went on Employment Insurance ... so naturally their income for the year was lower). I heard owing a $1 million house and /or having the equivalent amount in the bank do not count ... it has to be the amount reflected on your Notice of Assessment.

how old are your sisters? are any of them married? All of them living with your parents?

you may want to read through the family class section of the CIC website to be clear about the rules and financial obligations. it will also tell you how much income you will need.

unless the 29 year old is in school full time and financially dependent on your parents, he is not eligible for sponsorship.
