Subject: PR sponsor spouse who is under student visa
I am a first year PR and I have a full time job. I plan to marry my girl friend who is currently in Canada under student visa.
How long does it take for her to get her PR?
Thanks.

I am having a visitor Visa, i got married with my husband in Feb. 2004, i have submitted my application in April. They are awaiting my Police Certificate to finize my paperwork.
It´s important to submit all your RIGHT supporting document at one time, it will save you lots of time.
Anyways it takes at least 8 months to get it approved.

Yes, if everything goes smooth, it may take 8 moths, otherwise extra time needed.
