| Subject: what happen after medicals and passport request |
the offices ask me for my passport and medical i did my medicals in july 2008 and i just send my passport a month ago due to fbi and police certificate now after that what is next ??

... well, you will get your shiny visas on your passport and then you must enter (land) Canada within a year after the date you had your medicals done!

i did the same and after 2 days from delivering my passports i got a mail tellin me there a routine background check that might take up to 100 days so they r asking if we need the passports up till then or we keep them there till they see
what does this mean plzzzzz

Sherif: It means you are one of the unlucky ones - embassy is about to issue you a visa but one of your routine background check is about to expire or has expired so that has to be revalidated before a visa can be issued. If you need your passport for social or business travel in the next little while, you can probably get it back and the embassy will issue you another letter for your passport when they are ready to issue you your visa. If possible, let them keep the passport ... save another letter and hassles.

thanks so much for ur reply ar least i know the reason now and i have nothing but to wait
but do u think this case might take the 100 days or they can be less as my medicals will expire on the 19th of november

Sherif: It shouldn´t take 100 days but keep monitoring to ensure the new results are not just sitting on someone´s desk ... and not sure if it´s useful but send an email to the embassy around the 2nd month to get an update. The contact info of the embassy is on the CIC website.

thanks so much i was just last night wondering when can i ask as i thought this step wont take more than 6weeks as they promised
i will do as u said i ll keep asking to make sure the delay isn´t coz someone forgot to send the results

They had my passport sometime in March this year but until now I still don´t have the result of my application. My application is Permanent Residence Visa under Conjugal Partnership.
I had my medical exam last September 30, 2008.

After Medicals, routine background enquiries (in reply to: what happen after medicals and passport request)
I did my medicals in Dec 2008 and in May 2009 we receive to update our background forms. when enquired in August they mentioned as Please be advised that we await the results of routine background enquiries. A follow up will be sent. We will write to you when we are in a position to do so.
Why is it taking so long any idea? my medicals is expiring in Dec.dont they do backround checks before interview and realising medicals ?

I sent my medical examinathio and the other document as the imegration office in parice asked from me . Should i send the passport with them , or not? How can i get the vesa on my passport ?
