Subject: mailing passports overseas to Pakistan |
I need to send old expired passports to my father in Pakistan to he can get a Permanent Resident Travel Document to get back into Canada. Is it illegal to courier Pakistani passports overseas from Canada to Pakistan?
Thank you,
Adam

(in reply to: mailing passports overseas to Pakistan) From what I am reading, it is not illegal to send passports to and from some countries and it is illegal for other countries. It does not appear to be illegal with Pakistan, but does appear to be illegal to/from India for example. Furthermore, these are old expirer (late 60´s and other mid 80´s) passports. I am going to get some legal advice on this as it is difficult to get a definitive answer. Taking them there myself will cost lots of money and time away from work so if I can courier them there, that is what I need to do.
Thanks.
