I had completed Medicals and RPRF payment in Feb 2009. In response to my enquiry, CIC had informed me that my case is waiting for further review and background check.
I resigned my job in Saudi Arabia and took up a job in Qatar in Feb 2009. At present I am in India on a 3 month vacation. The address for communication remains unaffected as I had given my permanent home address in India.
The location of current job in the document update was given as Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. My residence permit in Saudi Arabia expires in May 2009. I am working in Qatar on a business-visit Visa.
Do I need to update them (CIC) about the change of job and location?
Will it be a problem if I am not available in KSA during the background checks and employment verification?
Will it delay the process if i inform them about my new job and country of residence?
The time line is as follows

Not necessary at this stage, as the evaluation of your job experience is done. However, it doesn´t harm to wrtie a letter to inform the CIC with your new job.

I speculate that employment verification is done at this stage.
CIC will send any update to your address on file, which is I assume the one in KSA. You should contact the CIC with your new address, unless you have someone in KSA who can forward any mail.
CIC is expected to send the passport request letter to KSA, which is an extremely important letter.

No. Again, the medical request is requested only after the work experience and education verification. At this stage of your file, they are doing security check as the pre-final step afterwhich your file will be finalized. Changing the address won´t have any effect. Actually, you need to change it to receive the mail from the CIC.

Just one doubt. In the last para you says that the medical is requested after the experience verification. Whereas, in the para before that says the employment verification is done at this stage (or so you think).
Are you saying that the employment and experience verifications are different?

I meant to say that at this stage of your app processing, the work experience and education are completed. This is because the medicals are requested only if you score the required points.
