Subject: My pregnant fiance
My fiance is american and we are expecting our first child. I am canadian and she wants to move here before the babies born. How and where do we begin with the application process. And will we have insurance to cover the birth of our child... thanks dont no where to begin?????

1) Congratulations
2) impending parenthood is not something that moves you to the top of the priority list so you may need to adjust your expectations of how this all may come together.
3) you utimately have 2 choices for family class sponsorship - married or common law (cohabitation for 1 year) if you don´t qualify for common law you may need to consider marriage to qualify.
4) whatever else you do... file an OUTLAND application. faster, and there is an appeal option that does not exist for inland applicants
5) process is 2 part. Canadian is approved first, then the applicant (foreigner) gets approved.
6) as for medical - depends on the province where you live. Completed PR is required and in some provinces there is an additional 3 month waiting period before benefits start.
