You can´t stop him, If your mom marries him she will be responsible for him. Coming from someone that used to work in the resort scene.....Never fall for the workers, it´ll never work out.

If you can´t talk to your mother, you can always write an anonymous letter to immigration. This may or may not not impact the application but it will at least alert the officer to give this application more attention.

I am not sure you can send a letter to immigration. How does CIC know your story is legitimate, without a sponsorship application in the system there is nothing to attach the story to. i think it is wishful advice.

All you can do is tell your Mom you are worried. if she does not listen, you have to accept the fact that she is an adult and can make her own mistakes. Hopefully you can be there to pick up the pieces without saying I told you so.

Kimberly: Once the application is filed, send a letter to CIC ... if this is an in-Canada application, send it to the local processing office; if this is an overseas, send it to the overseas office in charge - see link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/index.asp#canada
You can also send a copy to the CIC HQ at: Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, K1A 1L1.
Just make sure you include the applicant´s name, date of birth (if available) ...Good luck.

you better grow up and let your mother decides what is good for her, you are only being jealous and selfish, your mother is an adult that knows what is good for her self, by report to the CIC, police etc cannot stop the two adult for loving themselve. Moreover, what gave you the impression that the man wants yoor mother´s paper? is it only through spousal sponsporship that one can come to Canada? do you know if the man is highly skilled? he can still come to Canada with or without your mother´s help. it is better for you to face reality and let your mother makes decision about her life. Your mother sees happiness in this man all you can talk about is paper. have you sit your mother to really find out she is going to be happy in marriage? Canada is alonely country, when you are finally done to settle down, how do you expect your mother to leave without a companion? please give your mother a chance again to discover herself
