Subject: my citizen sister was divorced by Indian scammer
I´m seeking some sort of legal advice or any advice from people who have experience in this. Here´s the story:

My sister (born and raised in Canada) married to an Indian citizen in December 2006. He just recently left for India saying he was going back to visit his family, and then had his parents call from there saying he´s going to divorce her (no reason stated at all, he simply doesn´t want to be married.) It´s clear to us that they did this to get their son Canadian citizenship. I believe he has to live in Canada for 3 years to get his citizenship (as of now he´s a landed immigrant status). He has lived here 1.5 years and will be back soon I assume to complete the remaining 1.5 years...

Is there ANY way to impede his citizenship? The man simply does not deserve it. As a brother, I am looking for any avenue to help my poor sister and it angers me that people will do such things for citizenship.

Any help would be appreciated...

Dear Brother

This former loving Husband (bad dude) married you sister and lived with her in Canada for a Year and a half?

They lived as Husband and Wife for a year and a half (18 months) and he walked out of the marriage like a coward.

Not a thing you can do!

Call or Fax CBSA and tell them what you think you can prove at the following numbers. It may do little but if he decides to sponsor another or renew his PR card it may cause him some discomfort.

Thanks Roy. I hope things like him emptying out their joint bank account, taking some of her jewellery out of the bank helps the case.
