| Subject: Can you get ANY job at all without SIN? |
Hi, my girlfriend is going to come from US here to Canada to marry me and live together but it will take some months before she will become permanent resident of Canada and get SIN. She is thinking of just working as a nanny until she gets the SIN card. Would that be possible and legal?

if she obtains an open work permit...yes. if not - not. if not... illegal. if not... could cost her the PR card.

Get married and submit outside of Canada and wait your turn it will be far faster and you two can visit each other in the mid term.

I have got issue to resolve. My girl friend has got PR status in Canada but she working with company by Job agency. Job agency has given work to her without SIN. She asked to agency job representative to take SIN and they refused to pay on SIN, Agency like to Pay cash. I am very disappointed this system. Please give me right suggestion, where i should be submitted complaint against job agency.
