Subject: Best Canadian City
Vancouver is the most livable City in Canada. Just ignore the wanna-bees and the lack of good manners you may run into.
Difficult to make true friends because people tend to keep to themselves but not imposible.
Vancouver is not as Cosmopolitan as Toronto but is getting there.
Montreal is the most interesting between the 3 but is not as Cosmopolitan as Toronto.
Edmonton and Alberta are like 2 big malls. Well Vancouver and Toronto too but at least Vancouver has a nice landscape.

So what were your criteria of choosing Vancouver? You mentioned many things about Vancouver but none sounds very tempting. You said that Vancouver is not a good place to make true friends because people tend to keep to themselves (do you mean the Chinese?!), not cosmopolitan like Toronto, look like a big mall, and a nice landscape.

The best city to live in Canada is definetely Copenhagen it has great social life, beautiful cafes, no one begs for money, no one breaks into your house or car (at least they do not do it every month) , great environment, schools are free, the government even pays for the kindergarten, ... and your kids notebooks, pencils are all free, great bike lanes, you can see people from 4- to 84 on bikes, ...wowoow... What? it is not in Canada, god damn, I did not know that...thanks for telling me...what about Budepest? beautiful city...lol my son is telling me... dad, get a life, dont you have anything else to do, who cares?

Home is where your heart is,
Dont know about Vancouver but heard it got too much of crime, if you ask me there is Scarborough in GTA in Ontario, Best part is the Scarborough Bluffs and rouge river park, plenty fishing and like 10 minutes drive, go almost like every other day.... loving it,(feedback on hunting/fishing places around Scarborough vicinity welcome)

interesting you mention too much crime. I have been studying crime stats all morning.

Crime rates in Vancouver are no different than Toronto. Yup, we currently have a turf war going on amongst some boys with nothing better to do that shoot each other. Was in a meeting with the Chief of Police on Wednesday. While they are concerned, all other crime stats are down.

All you have to do is be smart about where you hang out at 2 in the morning and you will be fine. how is that different than GTA or Montreal, or Ottawa, or Chicago?

After reading the book " How to lie with Statistics by Darrell Huff i have stopped believing in the number game,...sorry ...i think everyone in North America should read it.. u know like 10 percent up or down as compared with last year or whatever. I think its the high GDP of west Canada responsible for crime. Toronto is bad economically but i like the humility and the struggle of it. Hey BB forgot to mention if you migrating to Canada make sure u know whats 420, Google it ..where ever u wana stay. I don´t do it but giving you heads up,
