How long is the waiting period after the B# is got? I sent in the appliction in July 2004 and got the B# in August.

CAIPS is the notes immigration officers wrote in computer system, you can obtain and find out what´s wrong, it´s very important for everybody to get one. Before I came to this forum, I swear I don??t know what a hell is that.
AOR stands for acknowledge of received, since you got file number already, you have done this step, no worry.

Its usually about 7-8 months till you get the request for medicals... That is if the interview is waived...

about 8 months for medicals... and total process will be about just a little less then a year

CAIPS is a system the immigration office uses to put notes on our files. such as where the file is right now... What is going on... what documents are been processed and stuff like that... All informatin is coded and you need to understand the decoding process.. Do not worry about CAIPS right now... use it only if you see more then a year worths of delay i your file.

The B# you get is the Ack of Receipt. That AOR

i did my medicals at the end of october 2004, and i am still waiting for the pp request. the whole process is more than one year
