Subject: Applied TRV as one family. Only I got visa.
I am a Pakistani who applied for TRV for myself as principal applicant and my wife and two kids aged 3 and 8 in the same application. The intention was to spend summer vacations with my sister and her family who are Canadian citizens. I also submitted all required documents as required from their website. Application was submitted in Abu Dhabi, UAE where I am working as a Mechanical Engineer with a very well known company. My salary is approx USD 150,000/YEAR. Me and my family have a residence visa here. I was given a multiple entry visa valid for more than a year but my wife and both kids were refused due to Regulation 179 which basically means that they expect them not to leave Canada even though they think I will. The passports were returned together with a letter which does not say that I have been given visa instead it says that my application is refused. I am really confused why they gave me a multiple and my wife and kids a no no.
What should I do?

Help needed from any expert please. (in reply to: Applied TRV as one family. Only I got visa.)
Roy, Sharon, any of you experts, please let me know if I apply TRV for myself as principal applicant and my wife and two kids in one application so that we can spend summer vacations with my sister and her family who are Canadian citizens, why would only I get the visa and my wife and kids are refused. Should all of us not be refused together since it was one application? What must we do to prove that we are only going there for less than 2 months and will all come back together.
