| Subject: Medical Examination hiccup |

Wonder if anybody can help with this question i have. My wife lives in Taiwan and it is very difficult for her to get time off to do the medical exam. On the time off she was able to get she used to visit me here in Canada and we set up a Medical Examination. We did all the tests but she had to go back to Taiwan. There was a problem with her urine exam and needs to do it over again but she´s in Taiwan. The DMP there says they wont do it because they need a letter from the original doctor saying she needs to get retested. I talked to the doctors office here and they said to just get it done there and give them the results and they´ll forward it to immigration canada. My wife however tells me that the doctors in Taiwan still wont do it because they can´t send the results to her directly. As well she asked if she could just redo all the tests in Taiwan if she can manage to get some time off work. But the doctors there said because we already started the exam here they cant because its in progress. But i have not sent in my application for sponsorship yet because i am waiting for her to get all the exams done so technically we havn´t started anything yet. I´m going to see if Immigration Canada can answer my question by phoning them tomorrow but this delema is bugging me. Both doctors on either side seem to disagree on what should/needs to be done.
The doctor here just wants the urine exam done by anybody and reults given to him. Where none of the doctors in Taiwan want to do it.
