Subject: Expiration of Medical Examination
I had my medical examination on September 30, 2008 prior to the application passed by my partner to CIC. When he was approved to sponsor me, the VISA Office in my country asking me to have my passport sometime in March.
Until now, my application is still on going? Will I take my medical examination again once my med exam will expire?

6.1 Medical validity

Medical validity is the period during which the results of an immigration medical examination remain valid. Validity of medical examination reflects the likelihood of an applicant’s health condition changing and the risk of acquiring diseases of public health examination or chest x-ray, whichever took place first. Normally, a new complete or partial medical examination to rule out danger to public health and safety must be undertaken if the medical validity has expired. In certain cases, medical validity may be extended. This may be done in consultation with the regional medical officer.
