Visitor Record Interview? Worried!

Subject: Visitor Record Interview? Worried!
So, I married a Canadian and I am from the states. We wanted to start the paperwork for me to become sponsored here by my husband. I consulted my local office and said that I needed to send out another visitor record and in that application to write that I am looking at the paperwork to become sponsored here. They even said it was alright to send both at the same time. They actually recommended it. I just decided to send the application for visitors status out and wait for that to come back before I sent the sponsorship form. Months later, all I got back was a letter saying I was scheduled an interview with an immigration officer in more than a month.

Is this bad? Did I do something wrong? I told the truth about everything and so I´m wondering why exactly this is. The only thing I can think of was sending out a visitor record with intent also to immigrate, but I was just doing what I was told!

Please help. Thank you.

I should say that I´ve never been arrested or in any sort of trouble with the law and never had a problem until this form.
