Subject: in canada sponsorship
I am preparing to get married and wondering how the in canada process works. My fiance has 2 children. We plan to prepare sponsor for him and the kids. If we do the in canada process do the children have to also be in canada? If not, can they be sponsored with the same process or does it have to be done separately?

How to apply to sponsor
You must send your sponsorship application together with the application for immigration of the person you wish to sponsor along with all required documentation to CPC-M (see Mailing your application), and pay the applicable fees. If the forms and supporting documents received at CPC-M are incomplete, they will be returned to you. If they are complete, CPC-M will begin assessing your application (see What happens next >> for more information). If you think you are eligible to sponsor and wish to support the immigration application of your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, dependent child and their family members, carefully read the following instructions.

If you are sponsoring your dependent children who are not accompanying your spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner, you will have to complete a separate application and pay applicable fees for each of these children.

STEP 1. Make enough copies of the blank forms for your needs.

ok...so I will complete the "Sponsor" paperwork, 1 application for perm residence (in Canada) for my spouse and then 1 application for the dependent children (not in Canada). This would all get sent at the same time. Is this correct?

My husband is a permenant resident of Canada. We have been married for 4 years now and have been commuting back and forth between Canada and Dubai as I work in Dubai. Now we are planning to settle down in Canada and for that I want to apply from within Canada. I will be going to Canada on visit visa and then applying from inside. Can somebody tell me how much time it will take for the immigration and PR. What forms are required to be filled out when applying from within Canada? What are the sponsor´s requirements? If the processing takes long then can I stay there legally as the visit will be for a short term only or will I have to extend my visit visa? Thanks

You should of posted your own new question.

Be careful what your trying to do is beat the system by jumping ahead and being with your partner while the application is being processed.

The odds are they will kick your In Canada application for an interview and may call into question your husbands status at the same time.

Be careful what you say when you arrive you have no right to apply in Canada while a visitor.

When he became a PR were you already married?

How many days did he spend in Dubai?
