Hi All,
Is there anyone out there who got a denial to enter in Canada when landing for the first time as a landed-immigrant?
My case is that I have got immigrant visas stamped on my passport valid till May 30 2004. But I know medical is expired already. I already notified the Canadian Consulate General in Buffalo NY, that my medical is expired. He replied in his own hand writing that "that is ok" and asked me to send my passports for immigrant visas.
I have talked to an immigration lawyer here in US, and he says that consulate officers have powers to extend someone´s medical if they want to do so. So I am assuming that they extended my medical till May 30, 2004 the landing date on my immigrant visa.
I just want to know that if someone is out there who had a similar case as mine and got denied at the port of entry because of the reason the medical is expired but immigration visa is valid.
Any responses will be highly appreciated.
