Subject: Finances
I am a Canadian born man, 39 years old. Been married almost 4 years now to a woman who lives in the Philippines. We´d like to get our papers going but I´ve been laid off since late last September. I was on E.I. until April 14th of this year when I found new employment.
Is having been on Employment Insurance or the fact that I have a new job only into it just over two months going to be a problem for sponsoring my wife?

EI is not the same as social assistance. Income minimums are also not required for spousal applications.

so Bison... have a cup of tea and relax.

Tea sounds very nice, but it´s time to head to bed. And thank you, I ´will´ sleep better knowing this information and so will my wife. Except, that is, she just woke up on her side of the planet. :P

Thanks. :)
