1234, I don´t think that is the question. hehe wants to know if his credit rating is trashed will CIC use this as a reason to deny his immigration. answer - no but it will sure make life in Canada difficult when you need credit.

I would like to get in on this one. I worked for CIC and the IRB and am now a certified immigration consultant.
Sharon is correct on all points. The question was about bad credit cards not payment of immigration fees. I do not think you need to work for CIC to understand that question.

hehe, are you serious... what is the answer to your question. You got your question answered at least twice in this thread. If you english is that bad, your credit rating is the least of your concerns.

Do not believe everything you hear. If your payments are delinquent and go to small claims court (through a collection agency), you will have an outstanding arrest warrant and that will be the last nail in your immigration coffin! The End.

an arrest warrant is different than a criminal conviction.

An arrest warrent is issued in criminal proceedings and a collection matter is handled in the civil courts. They are not related. Now, if you were involved in credit card fraud that is another story.
