Subject: Will ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER qualify as NOC 0213
Hi, My husband is working as an Assistant Project manager with an IT firm..he has 7 years of overall experience and one year as an APM...can we apply for the FSW indicating his code as NOC 0213? we had earlier applied for the PR but due to change of rules our application was returned...should we take another chance...please advise.

Also, our current US visa is expired but our I-94 is valid till Apr 2010..do you think by then we would have any chance of getting PR if we apply within next 8-10 days?

I think if his work experience can show and prove that he directed projects, staff, and IT implementations as well as developed project plans and related budgets, that would probably qualify.

The key here is to have had computer manager work responsibilities.

Thanks so much for ur reply Richard...i just showed him the job responsibilities for NOC 0213 and he said he´s been doing that since the last 3.5 years..but earlier he was a Lead software engineer and now an Assitant project manager (since last one year)...so in terms of designation not a proper manager yet...also he´s been with the same employer since the last 7 years and doesnt want to risk the relationship by requesting an experience letter with all the responsiblities etched out...he can provide a reference letter from the client he;s been working for since the last 3 years though...will that suffice? Also shall we mention different NOC codes for the different designations he held during the last 7 years? I would really appreciate any advise as we have already wated lot of time and money once and dont want to do the same thing once again..moreover, we are in US on L1 visa (intra company transfer) and would be going back to our home country by july 2010..do u think its a good idea for us to apply from US keeping this in view? i´m optimistic abt applying reading tht processing times are much shorter now but could really use some expert opinion. thanks in advance

FSW...Urgently Reply Please (in reply to: Will ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER qualify as NOC 0213)
Did you finally apply under 0213. What was the Occupation mentioned under Economic Classes-Federal Skilled Worker Schedule 3 form and the main application form... The reason why I ask is because I am a Project Leader and my roles are same as PM but should I alter the occupation and write Project Manager instead..Please advise....

Thanks in advance..Vikas
