Immigration Consultants who are authorized representatives have problems too. Not all problems are with CIC, CBSA, IAD, IRB, Visa Posts or clients.

I found this letter (below) addressed to the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC) this morning on the web at www.csip.ca

I did not send this web site the letter nor do I know how it got there.

Something really makes me wonder though!!!!! I just can´t see that that in four years too many consultants have been suspended for discipline of the rules of professional conduct.

Does anyone know why?

Some CSIC Members visiting this site have said some ________ things! YET?????

I decided not to attend this special meeting for the following reasons. The board of directors of CSIC had just previously held an on line only Annual General Members meeting but I could not get on line so I listened only. I could not vote but I was suppose to get some Continuing Professional Development points for attending.

I wanted to vote but couldn´t. I expected the fact that I voted to be kept secret.

There was only one thing to vote on at the AGM and that was to change the bylaws to allow the current board of directors to extend their terms. Not being online I was not allowed to vote. It was defeated!!!

After the meeting CSIC informed all that those that attended and did not vote would not get the points. HMMM what did that mean. They knew who voted! Did CSIC know which way the members voted?

So the current CSIC Board of Directors brought back the issue again of extending the terms of the current board members at a special meeting and again offered CPD points for attending.

I could not see the benefit of the Continuing Professional Development points offered because I felt I was not earning them. I had no time to sit and watch a video, answers questions then watch the special meeting for three and a half hours to vote. Nobody sent me the answers either.

When I was not given the opportunity to vote previously. Nope had too little time. I care about my clients and have to answer to them why their application is not submitted yet.

PLEASE read this letter.

Do you agree with this letter?

I have heard several rumors that most complaints against CSIC members are from the Society itself. NOT from clients. True or False?

What I do know is that one Law Firm in Toronto Gertler and Associates who have previously represented several CSIC Members have started writing to CSIC Members offering their services to represent CSIC Members regarding their complaints with the Society.

I can only assume that Gertler and Associates see gold in them there hills.
