All Czech visitors must now have a visa. Czech Republic is retaliating with the same restriction for Canadian citizens.

Mexico is getting the same restrictions. I guess people can be pissed if they like but if people insist on arriving and claiming Refugee status, then that is what happens.
Mexico ranks #1 for refugee claims, CR is #2.

Slapping visas on visitors is not the diplomatic approach between western allies these days. An action reserved for countries like North Korea, and the like. The response may be an EU-wide visa requirement for all Canadians wanting to visit any EU country. This possibility is under discussion.
What do I expect? This to be worked out via discussions on the diplomatric level. Apparently the Czech Republic was caught off-guard, hence the understandable reaction.

Surprisingly, Czech is among the countries whose citizens do not need a visa to enter the United States..

what´s good for the goose is good for the gander, why all the rants about visitor´s visa for Czechs and mexicans, if they all come here for claiming refugee i see no reason why genuine visitors from Africa and caribeans will be denied visa. it is because they are Black? if canada says visa is required to enter canada so be it, why the noise? why the cry? let us reverse it a bit, if Czech is a very developed country will they open there border for all refuge claims? genuine or no genuine?

it is certainly far easier for a government official to accuse Canada of being racist than to admit that the citizens of the country are making too many fraudulent refugee claims. Ever heard of the word POLTICS.

There is no doubt that Canada is a racist country but that is another issue. A lot of people from Mexico were making false claims under refugee status.
So I have a message for all the medium class wannabees who were coming under refugee status: Now instead to come, use the system and party like crazy.. you better start thinking of fixing your country because the party is over...!!!!
