Hi,
My Common law partner lives with me here in Canada from Mexico. We want to apply for his residency thru family sponsorship but he must return to Mexico to finalize some paperwork before we can go thru with the process. The problem is that we have purchased his ticket to return to canada thru Mexicana before the new Visa regulation went through. Now we dont think he will be eligible for a visitors visa because he does not plan on returning to Mexico until he ha his residency. We also want to include the open work permit application as we have a son and both need to be working asap. ow we are stuck in a situation that makes it almost impossible for us to be together and to follow through with our plans all because of this new visa. Does anyone know if there is a visa for reentry for family or spouse? I have not come across one and am very concerned for our family. I thought immigration Canadas main concern was to keep families together?!?!? What can we do?
