We had applied for immigration to Canada as FSW in Apr 04, the visa DD receipt issue by CIC in May and acknowledgement stamped dated Jul 04. We applied from Chandigarh at CHC New Delhi.
Our fresh papers and funds were asked & we submitted these in Nov 08.
In the meanwhile,daughter has graduated and joined job and has been working for more two years, son has graduated this year and joining M Tech and I too am growing in age.
Queries from CIC state that the case is in progress and will be reviewed by the visa officer.
General updations indicate that 30% applications are decided in 61 months, 50% in 69 and remaining in 74/75 months. That is a long time by any stretch of imagination.
I am sure there must be more people in similar circumstances.
Any one who could share similar experience and throw some light in the dark tunnel of wait of more than 5 years.
Also applicants till what date have started getting medicals and how much time does it take after the medicals?

Hi,
I have a query related to the application sent on 03-june-09. Its about 7 weeks gone but still i am waiting for the acknowledgement. Could any body tell me that how long FSW´s reply should be waiting for ack. secondly for lets say i dont get any reply then where to put up the inquiry for this problem?
