| Subject: Medical studies in Canada for PR |

I wanted to have some information for my friend who is from Brazil and is doing his medical studies there and wants to come to Canada as a medical resident in Vancouver or in Alberta.. Can anyone guide us where to start from and how long is the process... Hope that people will be helping and thankyou verymuch readers for your help.. may God bless you all that help others..

Better off exploring the States. I know a guy who was a practicing family physician in China. Poor guy came to Canada, can´t get his credentials recognized but he never gave up ... he re-took his masters and medical degree in Canada but even with "Canadian credentials", still ended up in a bind because he can´t get any hospitals to offer him residency. However he received numerous residency offers from the States and is now happily practicing family medicine in Califonia. That was in 1996, maybe better now but don´t bet on it.
