I am planning to apply as a researcher in some US universities.I am a permanent resident. In a year and half I will be qualified to apply for Canadian citizen. My Q is,is there any way that my stay in the US will be counted when I will apply for Canadian citizen??

No, working for a company abroad may count for your residency requirements but not towards citizenship.
