I have been getting conflicting information on whether or not I can apply for a work permit on behalf of my spouse who is not in Canada. I recently got married and I hold a Post Graduation Work Permit. I was told that I could apply for an open work permit for my spouse, but others have told me that I cannot apply due to the fact that my skill level isn´t A, O or B as specified in the NOC classification.
So, can I or cant I apply for a work permit for my spouse? Or can I only apply if I have a skilled job.
