Subject: Flagged (Put in system) in Canada?
If you´re flagged in the border does it mean you can´t go back? Would I have to go through the pardon process even tho I was never really deported? When I was sent back I was told I could only go back if my friends from Canada were there to pick me up at the border. I´m not sure if what he said is true or not.

It all depends.
Being flagged could means that you need to be screened by the secondary officer at the POE due to..........
Or you may not enter Canada due to........
Or you need an authorization to return to Canada from the minister due to...........
And it goes on and on.....

Did you receive a volunteer departure order?
An exclusion order?

The thing about your friends that have to pick you up at the border doesn´t make any sense.

Cheers,
Bill

Well I tried going to Canada for the first time in March and I was turned down at the border and told I was "flagged". I was going to meet my friend without her families permission. I understand why they turned me down. This time however, I have been invited by her and her family and they would be meeting me at the border. I just don´t want to go there and be told I can´t enter Canada.

Is there anywhere I can call to find out if I´m able to go?

Your friends picking you up at POE or her family in Canada giving you permission to come to Canada is totally irrelevant because they are not Customs Officer. You should check your paperwork to find out what sort of order you received prior to your departure.

For your information:

Departure order A departure order requires that the person leave Canada within 30 days after the order becomes enforceable and that they confirm their departure with CBSA.

Exclusion order A person who has been removed as a result of an exclusion order cannot return to Canada for one year unless the written permission of an officer is obtained. However, people who are issued exclusion orders for misrepresentation cannot return for two years without written authorization from an officer.

Deportation order A person who has been removed as a result of a deportation order is permanently barred from returning to Canada. Such people may never return unless they receive written permission from an officer.

Well, it´s depends on WHY you were asked to leave Canada (even though it was a warning). Go to the Canadian Consulate nearest to you to get an advice.
