| Subject: does landing fee request means i will get PR soon |

Today I got an e-mail from my lawyer asking me to pay the landing fees as they have recieved a letter from Canadian Consulate requesting for the same.
My question is,does this mean our application is under process and we will get PR request soon? If so can anyone tell me how long will it take to get the PR request?

Asking for landing fee doesn´t mean that you get PR. It is part of the application process. That fee will be reimbursed if you don´t land in Canada.

usually, landing fee is asked together with the medicals and other documents. if there´s something wrong in your medical or documents, then that may be ground for refusal of permanent residency. in this situation, your payment will be reimbursed to you.

get a copy of the letter from the canadian consulate immediately. that letter will show you all the new requirement, documents update to submit and landing fee payment, and etc. your lawyer should give you a fax copy or a scan copy, and you must not just rely with your lawyers instructions. demand a copy....!@#@#%@#$!@#$
