| Subject: Is California Police rept and FBI rept the same? |
I am in California and have submitted California Police Report. However, I was called by consulate to submit FBI Report, I thought for California resident, only California Police report (from Sacramento) is required.
Why they ask me a FBI report in addition to CA Police report?

On their web site, it clearly states that for US residents, FBI clearance is expected; it also explains how to get one!

FBI clearance is for the whole country so once you get that one, all other clearances from the States become redundant!

I already sent in California one. I have never live outside California. They are requested both from me. I don´t understand why.
