Subject: Experts - Waiting for your advise please
Hi,
I got my PR in 2005 and expires in 2010. I have been working on H1 since Decī06. Now my H1 completed and going back to Canada. If I say I have been staying in US for 2+ years.. will that be a problem for me? What questions could I expect? Appreciate your replies.
Thank you

Calculate whether you meet the residency obligations or not. If you do, carry the proof of stay in Canada along with you. Be prepared to be questioned that´s what I have seen. However, I have also seen people happily entering Canada at the end.

Does NOT take a Rocket Scientist to know you have not resided in Canada for 730 days in the last five years. 365 days in 2006, 365 days in 2007, 366 days in 2008 plus seven months in 2009.

Lets see you have been living somewhere for three plus years so you are not a PR. PLUS...............if you have been paying US Taxes they will know.
