Does anyone know the CIC call center phone numbers that
I can call from outside Canada?
I cannot call the free 1 888 242‑2100 as I´m in the US.
I don´t mind if it is not toll-free #, as long as I can
call the #.
It is very strange for the CIC to ask people to mail their applications to CPC Sydney, Canada, without providing a phone # for them to call.

To obtain an application kit or should you require clarification or additional information,you may telephone Call Centre a one of the following numbers:
514-496-1010-Montreal
604-666-2171-Vancouver
416-973-4444-Toronto
if you use a Text telephone(TTY),you may access TTY service 1-888-576-8502 (I have no f..beep..n idea what a f..beep..k is a TTY)
Anyway this information I have on the back of my f..beep..n old ID, I hope will be helpfull

They don´t work any more.
I think I´m going to buy a Canada phone card
to call the CIC from US.

Maybe you can try 1-800-O-Canada (Reference Canada) and get the operator to transfer you to the CIC #?

u can never dial that number from outside Canada... all you can do is to appoint/authorize someone else who can talk on yr behalf to CIC...

I'm having the same problem - can't call from USA (in reply to: CIC call center phone #?)
I tried the 888 number and it doesn´t work.
a while ago i got someone on the phone from ottawa, after being transferred numerous times, but when I try that same number again, i get this message: this mailbox has not been set up yet ... or something like that. I can´t get any info.
i tried the cic.gc.ca online status check and it doesn´t work. It´s like a black hole!!

OK, FOUND A GOOD NUMBER FOR CIC (in reply to: CIC call center phone #?)
I found this number on the site and it should work
1-613-944-9709
after pressing numbers from the menu, you may have to press "0" to speak to a representative. Get you client id info ready.
