Thank you for your response on the last thread.
I think they are redundant too.
But after I submitted California Police clearance, they request FBI from me.
Anyone from California has too submit both FBI and California Police report?

You HAVE to submit FBI clearance. The California Police clearance should have been submitted if requested.

No Cali police clearance is a subset of FBI clearance. Even if you say you only lived in Cali, you could have gone to Vegas and done wrong and gotten in trouble; if such an incident happened outside Cali, it won´t show up on Cali clearance. However, FBI clearance will show criminal violations ANYWHERE in the US and also any DANGEROUS DEBT DEFAULTS anywhere in the US. For this reason, Canucks want to know THE WHOLE STORY when it comes to trespasses, and not just from one state where the person resided. We both know that you are a nice guy, but let the FBI certify that you a nice guy! This makes sense. I have lived in many states and wandered across the US for fun for months at a time; If I had to get clearance from each state, it would have been a hell of a thing. Thankfully, FBI brought down the hammer and told the Canadians, "Open the Gates and let this man in. He is a Saint." With this single piece of paper I present myslef to the Canadians that I am one of the very best technocrats they can bring in! I am juss kiddin there, I hope you dig my sense of humor.

Thanks for your response.
I thought I don´t have to submit FBI cert if I did Cali cert. Obviously, I am wrong. Now I have a deadline imposed by Canadian Consulate. I would like to expedit FBI cert process. Is there a number to call?
( I did this with my cali cert, they did respond swfitly.)

for info, even those who come from other countries who lived in the US for 6 mons of more are required to submit police certificates from all the states they had stayed. Aside from this requirement, they are also required to submit FBI certificate. CIC wants to ensure that you have not commited any crime at all.
Even in your own country, CIC will require you to submit national police clearance aside from that one from your place of residence.

You need to ask them to send you BLANK fingerprint cards to your address. You take those cards to a cop station and have fingers printed. Now send it to the FBI at
FBI, Criminal Justice Information Service Center
Attn: Records Request
1000 Custer Hollow Rd., Clarksburg, WV 26306
Make sure you send them a money order for $18 made out to U.S. Treasury. Do not send personal checks, they will throw out those. I know this, they threw out mine.
