hi! with regard to taking the medical exam, i´m quite confused as to when we´re going to do it. i´m still gathering all the documents for our family class application. my husband is sponsoring me and my son. on the cic website its showing that instructions for the medical examination will be given after the application is submitted to the visa office. on the other hand, the document checklist shows that the copy 2 from the mp should be included already. i´m also getting conflicting info from those who passed their application already. i wanna make sure that we´ll be sending all the documents to my husband since its costly (we´re in the philippines) and we don´t want this to be the cause of delay.

For family class, you have to do your medicals before submitting the application for sponsorship.

Hi,my family is applying for permanent residence visa for Canada. We already submitted all our documents and we are just waiting for the embassy to order us to have our medical Examination. My wife is infected with chronic hepatitis B. She was first diagnosed with the infection 4 years ago and her ALT count at that time was 77 ul. However, recently after undergoing another blood test, her ALT count was 20ul. Will the embassy deny our immigrant application by reason of the medical condition of my wife? I hope you can give us a clear answer about the matter. Your immediate reply to our query is highly anticipated. Thanks very much and good day.

Your wife probably be put under surveillance for Hepatitis B, once she lands as a PR.
Spouse applications for PR are only given medical refusal for communicable diseases, such as active TB, syphilis, etc. In cases with communicable disease the family class applicant is usually given a chance to undergo treatment and submit proof of completion of treatment.

greetings
i have read your comment and request, i was told by my doctor i have acute HP my count is 74IUL.it seems your wife has progressed well with the virus from 70IUL to 20IUL ALT/alanine Amino Transferase/ now.good news.
A Healthy person ALT range is between 10-40 IUL
so no worries,you will be granted your visas unless other terms and conditions are not met.
