| Subject: Is IELTS needed now ? |

Hi all,
I´m from the Philippines and my PR application is still in progress. It was submitted sometime 2006. As of this writing, I have not received any instructions from them ( visa office ) like the things to do next or information to update. Now, my questions are;
1. Since I already have my file number, will this mean that my application already passed their initial assessment?
2. Together with the application form that I submitted were documents and a written explanation to prove that my English language proficiency is high. Are they enough ? If not,
3. Do I have to take the IELTS now.
Please advise. Thanks

Kabayan, Yes, that means initial assessment is done. You need to take IELTS so that you wont be pressure later once you receive the request to submit this along with other docs.
