Hi,
I have a PR thats valid until 2011 and would like to know :
1. Can I enter Canada with that PR card & valid passport ? I will be travelling from India.
What is the process and what would be the challenges at the port of entry (Toronto or Vancover).

No challenges just you need to buy your flight ticket and land in canada.

If you stay a longer period of time (1 year) then may face some additional questions; like why so long...

Hi Jura,
Congradulation on receiving the visa...
wanted to know in which year you applied for PR status.
I received my application number in April 2005.
Submitted additional documents in Feb.2009.
still waiting for the medicals.....
Jura, can you provide some details about your process.
like, when you got your file no... when was your medical done... and after how many months you received your visa..etc..
this will be very helpfull to understand.

Hi
I have a PR card valid till 2012 jan .I was out of canada for 3 and half years, so time left is 18 months ,i.e till 2012 jan. Will they allow me to canada or stop at POE? I guess some questions will be asked by officers, any advises?

have a very good excuse and buy a plane ticket tomorrow. Coming back 2 months before your card expires is not going to cut it.

Thanks Sharon. I have one more question on this, when i left the country(canada) it was by road in 2006 to USA and as i said earlier I recieved PR card in 07 thru friends,
1. Do they have any record updation when did i leave canada? I am guessing not becos it was by road and there is no sharing info between us and canada at that time?
2. I am coming to canada next week , Now at POE can i say I stayed in canada for 6 months ? i would say this based on the questions by immigration officer only, but still is there any chance i could get a 6 month time. so that i can fullfil the 2 years residence stay if i stay continuously for next 18 months, as my pr card expires in 2012.
3. lastly what would be best excuses to convicne immigration officer at POE for my delay of 3 and half years.

don´t lie. do you have phone bills, credit card receipts for that 6 months - no.
I would suggest coming and staying put for the next 18 months and then cross the renewal bridge at that time. I think you would be OK.

hi,
i m a post graduate in accounting fild.i completed my graduation(bechlor in commerce{b.com.}) full time but my post graduation(master in commerce,m.com.) completed as a part time(ex student) so how points i get in education in pr out of 25.
pls reply me as early as possible
