Subject: Excluded family members
I immigrated to Canada as single while in fact, I am married with children.

I consulted an expensive lawyer and advice me to apply under H&C.

Anyone with the same case?

stupid, stupid, stupid. CIC will now ask what else you lied about! Did you forget your were married? and what extenuating circumstances are there that Canada should grant you a H&C.

You are in some serious trouble. It is called misrepresentation and that is enough to have your PR revoked and you being banned from Canada for at least 2 years.

Not sure a lawyer (expensive or not) can help you. it is not like you changed your status 2 weeks before you landed.

note to anyone else contemplating the same idea - DON´T

Adante - you are in BIG trouble. I´ve handled three cases like yours and only two were successful. Bear in mind, the rejections could have been higher but I am very selective on what I take on and the reasons for the non-disclosure.

LOL, LOL, LOL

I have thirty active spousal appeals at 74 Victoria Street Toronto IAD and I´ve never heard of an authorized representative called Anonymous.

Like you have a 66% success rate for garbage cases like this one. My sides are splitting I´m laughing, laughing out loud so hard..............

Come on out of the closet troll, lol I just can´t stop, LOL name yourself.

Sharon ---- STUPID understatement but there could be a situation that can be overcome a certain way but H&C give me a break

COMPASSION HAS TO BE COMMON SENSE!!!!!!!

Missed this one Sharon TY for heads up.

Once in a while, if you have the right representative and have a little luck, CIC will gladly forgive the omitted info and grant PR to the omitted dependents. They might frown on your inconsiderate attitude toward your dependents. And yes, it will cost pretty penny, of course: 5000 bucks US up front and the rest after the case is resolved.

CIC will gladly forgive the omited info?
$5000 US up front? and the rest after the case is resolved?

What kind of advise is that?

Let´s put it this way, there is no "forgiveness" when it comes down to the law, there are procedures that have to be followed as per the current law and based on that the issue may or may not be solved.

An experiensed lawyer/cunsultant will be able to help as long as they see that there is a posibility of getting around the whole situation but again, they have to refer to the same book (THE LAW).

You basically misrepresented your self in an application which is a very dumb thing to do byt eh way but it is done. You are going to have to deal with the consequences which I am pretty sure you are well aware.

It is not going to be easy and more likely you will need professional help.

If a clown shows up here asking for $5000 and the rest when CIC gladly forgives you for the omited info, well.... you should start running to the opposite direction. Get references from previous clients with similar cases and then make a decision.

Just because the office is fancy and she/he wears expensive clothes and OH MY Gosh they also have a capuccino machine in the the office, not necesarally means that they are proficient in the field.

Cheers,

Bill

Roy, would CIC allow him to turn in his PR... return home to his family and apply again?

Andante... what did you wife say when you told her you forgot or decided to deny the fact that you were married or that you were going to another country without her being allowed to join you? I bet she felt special. Wow, if you were my husband I would kick you out the door so fast it would make your head spin.
