(in reply to: pitition for spouse)The certificate that is legally recognized in the country where the wedding took place, plus tons of pictures, cards etc... to demostrate that the relationship is genuine. The Marriage certificate is not sufficient for the application.

We have tons of pictures, videos during our special wedding.We have joint accounts,I have extension of my wifesī credit card.Bill,more clarification i need from you because when my wife applied for PR in Canada,we got married already in civil marriage but she didnīt declare that she has a husband because there is a prob. in our civil marriage and until now still in the court for the correction.After a year she went home for vacation and we got married again in church.Pls. advise if there is any conflict regarding our civil wedding and our church wedding if my wife will apply now for my petition.Is this still under misrepresentation case?My wife didnīt lied,she didnīt declare me because of valid reasons.Now my wife is still in single status and she want to change her status with the support that we got married in church for real and genuine.

How the heck you keep marrying over and over and then want to file for which spouse? the one you married first or the one you married 2nd time? How many spouses have you accumulated? LOL

She didn´t declare you. And YES SHE DID LIE and that is called misrepresentation which is a serious offense in Canada.
Let´s put it this way, if she gets caught, CIC will come after her PR status and if not more likely she will never be able to sponsor you EVER. Valid reasons? Those "valid reasons" have to be GOOD really good because oh yeah... they are going to question them.
What certificate to use? Well the one that is telling the truth and the legal document that recognizes you marital status in your home country.

Dear
I have leggaly married to PR holder girl having document valid in my country.
She has sponsor me for Canada.So when I will got visa then she will visit my country and we will have church marriage(society recoginized)and then we will start our life. This wil help start new life in new country no seperation time ( or waiting visa) after start of real life.
Is there any wrong in Canadian law ?

Hi good day! I just want to know what is the best way to do, I am recently married 3 mos ago.I am a resident here in Barcelona and my husband is sponsoring me. Do I have to change and use my Husband´s last name on my passport and travel document? if in case I would not change my last name and I will still be using my maiden´s name will it be a problem in the sponsorship? thank you
