HI,
My husband is a canadian citizen. He is sponsoring me . Now the file has been moved in local CIC office. My husband is now living with us but he applied from canada, after that he came back.
I have received a letter from local cic office requesting some more documents from the sponsor as a proof of sponsors residency in canada like, lease agreement, hydro bills, bank staement, credit card statement, notice of assesment, employment reference letter , pay stubs, passport photocopy.
Now some of these docuemnts r missing due to some reason like he has always been living with some friends so has no lease agreement and hydro bills. Also he is not in canada at this moment. The other problem is that he is a self employed and is a cab driver so no employement letter and pay stubs etc.
So how should we reply embassy´s letter. And will the absence of these documents affect our case negatively. Your nice suggestions will be appreciated.

the challenge that you have is that CIC wants confirmation that your citizen husband has ties to Canada as is planning to settle your family there. Otherwise, your application will fail.
if he is a cab driver, he files income tax - correct? He needs to stop acting like he is camping in Canada and prove to CIC that your PR application is not just an attempt to get you a passport of convenience.

YES HE FILES INCOME TAX EVERY YEAR, notice of assesment is all about that. he paid tax of year 2008. what about lease agreement sharon ?

perhaps he should show a plane ticket back to Canada. A cell phone account, Canadian bank activity.
Think about what they want... they want proof that your husband resides in Canada, and is intending to live in Canada after you get your PR.

If he has banking information and perhaps a quarter million in the bank investments, it would help. But I understand that he might be renting a room and hence does not have utility bills... but he may have rental payment stubs! Afterall, he is not in canada now and how long has he been gone? Send him back to Canada to get all these docs in order.

yes he has called the bank to send him the bank statement and so is the case with the job letter from the company for whom he drives cab. phone bill is also with him. he left canada since april.
We have a son who is one year old, and he is a born canadian out side canada. we have also applied for his canadian citizenship that is in progress.
Can this process affect my husband´s and child´s citizenship negatively ?
