Hi Roy and Sharon,
This bad news made me so sad and terribly upset me considering my present situation; Am at 50 and jobless as I quit my job a year ago. The worst is my profession is not in the NOC 38.
By the way, my PR application is still in progress. The last time that I heard from visa office was sometime late 2008 asking for confirmation if I have to proceed my application that I applied 4 years ago.
Please advise. Thank you

if you are not part of the NOC 38 you have 2 options - find a job offer or simply hang on and wait.
wish I had better news. Why did you quit your job? Hopefully it was not because you thought immigration ws imminent.

Where can i find a job offer?
Do I am still qualified as I am not practicing my profession now or jobless?
I quit for the retirement pay - to have money in the bank as proof of funds in preparation when the visa office will actively start processing my case by 2008 ( as per their 2005 letter ).
