Dear Sharon/Bill/Roy,
Please urgently let me know when can I expect a reply from the CIC office as I have posted my application and processing fee for CA$ 1,400/-in the Federal Skilled Class on the 16th of July ´09. I am terribly worried as I don´t know if the same has reached them safely or it has reached and in the process of scrutiny.
Your early reply will be appreciated.

Those three people you are addressing have clear access to CIC info so they can give you a precise answer. However, I would suggest that you just wait till you hear from them (CIC, not the clowns on here).

Bill, Roy and Sharon have access to CIC info? we have the same access you do - CIC website. what a joke.
Audrey, I know it is a little late in your case but if you are the nervous type, send things double registered mail. that way you can be sure someone received it. Your file is likely still processing and will be processing for several more weeks. final background checks still need to be done before they will request your passport.

Roy and Sharon- Can you log into the CIC database from your home computers and get some info? Let us know so that we give our file numbers to check the status of our applications.....lol

i contact buffalo visa office(cic)
and they told me they recevied my medical result but they said they still checking my back groun from another goverment offices,so how long u think it will take to check my background .thanks sharon

no definitive answer on background checks. could be 1 week, could be a year.

Hi! I would like to verify my status regarding my immigrant application for canada. I am one of those affected by typhoon "ondoy"/Ketsana. I believe you extend immediate assistance to expedite their application for canada for those greatly affected by the typhoon last sept. 27, 2009. I already sent a letter to the consul general and pictures taken during and after the typhoon. Please advise. I really need help and assistance regarding this matter.
