2 wives??? (in reply to: Sponsoring comon law patner)
Sir, you have 2 wives? WOW!!! It is against the law in Canada to have 2 wives. If you want to have a (1) wife in Canada, you must pick the best of the pair and apply.
Even if the one left behind applies on their own and gets into Canada - you cannot have 2 wives... it is illegal Sir. You have to divorce one of them.

I cannot advise on the the resubmission of your documents for your first wife but I saw on the immigration website, it stated - 6 months for approvals... I could be wrong here.

Good luck

You cannot bring two wives to Canada. In your case, your second marriage will not be recognized by Canada. You can only sponsor your first wife. To sponsor your second wife, you´ll have to divorce the first one, marry the second one again and declare on your application that you were married to two women at the same time. All this has to be done, if you choose to be truthful (recommended).

p.s. you have committed a criminal offense under the Canadian law by taking up two wives, if you married the second one after obtaining PR/citizenship.

did you marry wife #2 in a civil or religious ceremony? you would have to declare your marital status to get a marriage license. How did you do that? Did you say you were married, divorced or single?

reason I ask, you may have bigger problems than just sponsorship concerns.

Msajed if you do not mind I want you to listen to me carefully:

1. I guess you are muslim, please do not misunderstand your holly book and do not abuse your religion!! The holly book Koran never let/lets people get married to two/three or four women. !!! In the past during the time of Mohammed as a result of those bloody wars in the region there were many ladies, and kids without a husband and father, so Mohammed asked his men to take care of those kids and wives so that they have somebody to look after them..Mohammad said " take as many ladies or kids so that they have food and a shelter to stay in" Mohammad never asked them to abuse them!!!! But through the history of Islam some idiots misinterpreted that and FOLLOWED mohammad´S words as an Islamic right and started to get married to up to 4 ladies... Islam never gave such a right to men ... !!! Those idiots, and some politicians in the region still let their people to be able to get married to more than one wife!!!! That is NOT an islamic Rule, it has never been a rule in that holly book!! As far as I know in most Islamic countries people still can have more than 1 wife.. The only Islamic country in the region which prohibits such marriages I guess is Turkey ...!!! Learn your own religion and never abuse Islam like those bloody terrorists and Kings and fucking religious fanatics!!!
2. Lets say you made a mistake and now have two wives, sorry sir, you CANNOT bring two wives to Canada. having two wives in Canada is a sick thought, and it is illegal, this is NOT an Islamic country!!! Your rules in your country do NOT work here in Canada...
3. You can bring these people as your spouse to Canada:

A. Your spouse(wife): a person that you are legally married- no matter it was a legal or religious marriage OR

B. Your Common law partner: a person that you have been living together more than one year,(without marriage) you should prove that you have been living with that person although you are not legally married by showing proof of common bank accounts, rent contracts, or having property /sharing property /bills/ rent/car etc. OR

C.Congual relationship/partner:The conjugal partner category is for partners-either of opposite sex or same sex-in exceptional circumstances beyond their control that prevent them from qualifying as common-law partners or spouses. A conjugal relationship is more than a physical relationship. It is a mutually dependent relationship, and it has some permanence and the same level of commitment as a marriage or a common-law union,

In summary, sir you can bring only ONE person to canada as your spouse either like a person in section A (above) or B or C not ALL TOGETHER !!!!!!-

My suggestion: 1. get rid of one of your wives!!! and try to bring only one as your spouse 2. Better stay there and do not come over here, it seems to me that you are financially capable of looking after two wives there in your country, with your salary/wage as a potential immigrant in Canada you can never take care of two ladies- no way- life is so hard here, people work hard, pay debts almost until the end of their lives!!! 3. No matter you come over here or not.. LEARN your own religion and do not ABUSE Islam ...!!!

I wait for her three years and when i notice she wanted divorce from me and then i found another one after that when she come to know i found my new life patner she was not agree for divorce.you told me to learn my religion sir i know my religion and i respect you for having knowledge of my religion i dont know wether you are muslim or not?But you have enough knowledge.
The reason i found new life patner i was thinking when i return my country for divorce, after divorce i will marry to my 2nd and bring with me all paper work and apply for her but my idea goes wrong and i didnt get divorce from my 1st wife and that time my 2nd wife realy wanted to marry me and i done so.
i dont want two or four wife even i can afford but all this happend because my first wife was not intrested coming canada and i wanted to save my trip so i no need to go again for marry and sign paper work from my 2nd wife now i am stuck but i will bring only one i respect the law of Canada, i am doing business in Canada, Dubai and U.K i dont have any financially problem.
now please tell me abot withdrawal application i withdraw my wife application after get approve and what should i do, do i have to apply again or just REINSTATE the application, i ask Canadian embassy and they told me for them no need to reapply just send written request to immigration in Canada tell them to reinstate the application onece they reinstate Canadian embassy will reopen file for me.I send letter to immigration Canad almost two months but no answer.

Msajed,

The part that you don´t understand is that it is illegal to have to wives in Canada PERIOD.
Common law partner is when you live with someone, share the household and so on but the two of you are not legally married.

In this case you are married, common law doesn´t apply, I don´t know how did you do that. If you declared in your second marriage that you were single that is misrepresentation and that is even worse. Now you have more than one problem.

The fact is that you cannot sponsor your second wife. That marriage is not recongnized in Canada and if it is.... well that was because you lied to start with.

In your first sponsorship, a lot of the things you said, don´t make any sense.
There is no such a thing as "reinstate".

Her visa expired PERIOD. You would have to re-apply. BUT at this point you are illegally married so.... You can do the math.....

You should understand the laws of the land a bit better before you come up with your own conclusions and even worse , thinking that you did the right thing. From all angles that is agains the law.

Cheers,

Bill
