Subject: Pregnant: Exempt from Chest Xray? |
|

Hi everyone, I have just been sent out a medical request form and have an appointment booked at the medical centre for next week. I am just a bit curious about whether my wife needs to undergo the Chest x-ray examination as she´s currently 10 weeks pregnant. I called the medical centre and they said she´ll have to wait until she´s delivered of our baby.
Now the question is: will this delay our application? Or will CIC waive the chest X-ray examination and just base their decision on the results of the other tests?
Thanks.
Franco

(in reply to: Pregnant: Exempt from Chest Xray?) CIC will not waive the chest X-ray requirement.
You and your wife can do the medical now. She can submit the X-ray report after delivering the baby along with the medicals for the new born baby. As she has about 6-7 more months before she delivers, you may end up doing medical again as the results are only valid for one year.
