  FYI

If you think your file is in Calgary CIC think again. Calgary CIC staff claim they are over worked with too many new spousal and H&C applications being submitted to their office. They have transferred 158 files to.....

Your file has probably been transferred to Saskatoon, Winnipeg or Regina. CIC Calgary hopes that all affected representatives and applicants will be informed of their file transfer soon. SOON???

We are only talking about 158 files and the staff in these other three offices are suppose to have the reviews done by January 2010.

Now am I wrong but if you divide 158 files by three offices that means each office only actually receives about 52 files each. There are approximately 15 weeks left in 2009. Even working part time that is less then one additional file assigned per office per day.

How many CIC Officers are there in Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Regina combined?

Prompt Processing yeah right.

Come on some one has to say at least CIC is doing something!

I wonder if e-cas will change from In Process at your local office to we sent your file some where.

I really don´t understand why it takes so long for CIC to process a file. They are wasting applicants time. I was so amazed when I heard how fast Singapore Immigration office to do the same. It takes only 4 days for Employment Permit and 3 months for Permanent Residency. It just baffle me that CIC came across as completely useless when compares to that of Singapore. You might say, it is unfair to do the comparison with tiny country like Singapore. I don´t think that´s the case. CIC has many offices across the country while Singapore has far less number. I just don´t buy CIC security check anymore. I see it as pretext for their laziness.
