Can a work permit holder enroll in a university?
Or, can a person have a study permit and work permit at the same time?

You cannot work on a study permit, or study on a work permit.
If you are studying on a study permit for a period of six months you are eligible to apply for an off campus work permit.
With your study permit you are allowed to work on campus (cafeteria/book store etc...) maximum 20 hours per week.

Thanks. I was asking because I have a job offer so I´ll be applying to "change condition" from a study permit to a temporary work permit. I only need to go back to school for 1 semester but I´ll choose work right now as it´s more practical (being able to survive/pay bills is more important than another degree). I´ll just go back to school once I get permanent resident status (probably next year).

Related questions after I looked at the application form:
Can a person on a study permit (who has a job 0ffer) apply from inside Canada for a temporary work permit? Or is that person only allowed to apply for either an off-campus work permit or a post-graduation work permit?
If that person wants to apply for a temporary work permit, would he have to leave Canada and submit the WP application to an embassy in his country of residence?

Yes, I can apply for a temporary foreign worker program permit!
