Subject: RN needs help
  i just got licensed a registered nurse in the US but i overstayed my visa and run out of status .i can´t work My boyfriend is a canadian citizen and we are planning to get married very soon when he comes back in usa.He is planning to stay here for 6 months.
Can i go back with him? What process do i have to go through for him to sponsor me as he is still a student?

I would be interested in a reply to the above questioned issue.... I overstayed my visa in the Usa, too, but would like to go to Canada to get my rn license and work there.. so far they refused both of our applications for work permit and green card....because of the overstay in the USA. I think depeding on the immigration officer, who handles your case you will get your visa or not... With us, they were very strict and harsh. We provided all the required docs, fees, etc. but because of the overstay they will very easily responded that they did NOT believe that we would return our homecountry.
Marriage? That might be a different issue, because as a spouse of a Canadian citizen, you should get your papers, but I don´t know if you can arrange it from outside of the country. On the other hand, you might have to leave the US and have to go back to your homecountry to arrange your immigration docs as a spouse of a Canadian citizen. In any case, I think you should consult a Canadian Immigration Lawyer. But be cautious, some of them ripped us off, too...
