| Subject: Job offer - getting work visa? |

I was offered a job in Canada. The employer contact HRDC and it was all approved and found to be above board. I sent the offer and the letter from HRDC to London with my skilled worker application.
My question is, I have heard that if you have an offer of employment, it is possible to apply for a work permit so that you can go to Canada and work in this role, and wait for your PR to be complete there.
Can anyone give me more information on this please.
Does the fact that HRDC confirmed it to be a ´real´ job offer mean that I can apply for a work visa in the meantime?

I am not an expert but in the same situation as you. I had the same circumstances i.e approved job offer & filed it with CIC london in Nov. 03. Havnt heard anything bak. What is ur timeline pls?
Also, after getting the approved job offer you can apply for the work permit & wouldnt be a problem at all. And all that process will take is - couple of weeks coz I researched on it. So, make ur mind up if you are desprate to go. My situation was different ie I am on a good job in here so didnt bother to go temp. Would you please share your timeline, just to have an idea what could be happening with my proceeding.

I had apply for work permit in June 2004 and application is still in process but unfortunately my eployers couldnt wait for me anymore and they have found another employee.Im going to get new employers for the same job type but im not sure how its going to affect on my current application status since they have to submit job offer to HRDC.Im afraid that Im gonna have to go through the same crazy long process again.I did medicals and everything.IF anyone has or had the same problem please help!
